Erik Geuss was appointed the Director of the Czech Environmental Inspectorate in 2014. Erik Geuss graduated from the University of Economics in Prague and he acquired a doctoral degree at the Czech Technical University in Prague. He worked as a Deputy Minister and later as an advisor at the Ministry of the Environment or as a Director of the Department of Economic Policy at the Ministry of the Environment (MoE). He also worked at the Czech Ecological Institute (contributory organization of MoE), where he was a Director. He has gained a lot of experience from managerial positions at the Ministry of Informatics and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, where he held the position of Deputy Minister. Prior to joining the Czech Environmental Inspectorate he served as Director of business activities at the Prague City Hall.
