What the CEI will help you with:
- The CEI’s inspectors deal with requests for classification, labeling and packaging of chemical substances and mixtures.
- We check the content of restricted substances in products (e.g. heavy metals in jewelry, bisphenol A in thermal paper, etc.)
- We monitor the content of substances of very high concern (so-called SVHC substances) in objects.
- We monitor the correctness and method of handing over safety data sheets
- We deal with the labeling and packaging of biocidal products and their use.
When you need to contact other public administration bodies:
- Initiatives regarding substances in objects intended for contact with food, toys, cosmetics, products for children under the age of 3 and in products intended for direct contact with drinking, warm or raw water during its taking, sampling, transport, treatment, distribution, collection, measurement of delivery and other similar purposes (resolved by Regional Hygiene Stations).
- Initiatives for plant protection products (e.g. weed sprays) – are handled by the Central Institute for Supervising and Testing in Agriculture.
